Introduction
Congratulations on choosing your Will Mason Electric Scooter.
Your Will Mason was designed as an ideal scooter for riders who value time, convenience and simplicity on the road.
It’s also a great scooter for beginning riders, with its low seat and lower center of gravity, a new rider can easily get used to riding it in no time.
Before riding, take time to get acquainted with your scooter and how it works. To protect your investment, we urge you to take responsibility for keeping your electric scooter well maintained. It’s important to observe the break-in guidelines, and perform all the pre-ride and other periodic checks detailed in this manual.
We also recommend that you read the owner’s manual before you ride. It’s full of facts, instructions, safety information, and helpful tips. To make it easy to use, the manual contains a detailed list of topics at the beginning of each section and an index at the back of the book.

Electric Scooter Safety
This section presents some of the most important information and recommendations to help you ride your electric scooter safely. Please take a few moments to read these pages. This section also includes a special message for parents and location information for the safety labels on your electric scooter.
Important Safety Information
Your electric scooter can provide many years of service and pleasure–if you take responsibility for your own safety and understand the challenges you can meet while riding.
This electric scooter has been design for all kinds of riders. However, not everyone is physically or emotionally ready to ride.
Therefore, before riding the electric scooter, we urge the rider to carefully read the Important Message about safety and caution when riding.
There is much that you can do to protect yourself when you ride. You’ll find many helpful recommendations throughout this manual. The following are a few that we consider being most important.
1. Always Wear a Helmet
It’s a proven fact: helmets significantly reduce the number and severity of head injuries. So always wear an approved electric scooter helmet.
We also recommend that you wear eye protection, sturdy boots, gloves, and other protective gear
2. Never carry more than 1 passenger.
Your electric scooter is designed for 2 persons only. There are no handholds, footrests, or seat for a third person–so never carry second passenger. More than one passenger could interfere with your ability to move around to maintain your balance and control of the electric scooter.
3. Ride on road only
Your electric scooter is designed and manufactured for road use only. The suspension is not made for full off-road capabilities. If you need assistance, contact us about riding groups in your area.
4. Ride within Your Limits
Pushing limits is another major cause of electric scooter crashes. Never ride beyond your personal abilities or faster than conditions warrant. Remember that alcohol, drugs, fatigue, and inattention can significantly reduce your ability to make good judgments and ride safely.
5. Don’t Drink and Ride
Alcohol and riding don’t mix. Even one drink can reduce your ability to respond to changing conditions, and your reaction time gets worse with every additional drink. So don’t drink and ride, and don’t let your friends drink and ride either.
6. Keep Your Will Mason in Safe Condition
It’s important to keep your electric scooter properly maintained and in safe riding condition. Having a breakdown can be difficult, especially if you are stranded far. To help avoid problems, inspect your electric scooter before every ride and perform all recommended maintenance.
Important Message to Parents:
Your child’s safety is very important to Will Mason. That’s why we urge you to read this message before you let any young person ride on this electric scooter. Riding can be fun. But bad judgment can result in injury, and we don’t want that to happen! As a parent, you can help prevent accidents by making good decisions about if, when, and how your youngster rides on this electric scooter.
The first decision you’ll need to make is whether your youngster is ready to ride on the scooter. Riding readiness varies widely from one person to another, and age and size are not the only factors. PHYSICAL ABILITY is an important consideration. For example, riders must be big enough to hold the electric scooter up, get on, and comfortably sit on the seat with both feet touching the ground. They should also be able to easily reach and work the brakes, throttle, and all other controls. ATHLETIC ABILITY is necessary for riding an electric scooter. Generally speaking, your youngster should be good at riding a bicycle before getting on an electric scooter. Can your youngster judge speeds and distances while riding a bicycle and react with proper hand and foot actions? Anyone who does not have good coordination, balance, and agility is not ready to ride this electric scooter.
Range and Modifications
Maximum weight capacity = 440 lb. (200 kg) includes the weight of the rider and any passenger and accessories. Maximum range of the Will Mason Touring T1 Pro depends of the terrain, tire pressure, payload and speed. To get a longer range, you need to:
• Keep cargo small and light.
• Ride at 30 mph for maximum range.
• Make sure to ride on paved roads
• Never exceed the maximum weight limit.
• Check that both tires are inflated properly.
Modifications
We strongly advise you not to remove any original equipment or modify your electric scooter in any way that would change its design or operation. Such changes could seriously impair your electric scooter’s handling, stability, and braking, making it unsafe to ride.

Charging your Will Mason Electric Scooter
There are three ways to charge the lithium ion battery pack in your electric scooter
1. You can use the internal charger to charge your electric scooter by pulling out the extension wire at the front lower left side of your scooter frame and directly plugging that into your electrical wall outlet.
2. You can use the portable charger that comes with your scooter to charge your scooter by using the charging outlet located on the lower rear right side between the main scooter frame and the right rear storage box.
3. The third option is to take out the battery and charge it at a different location.
Charging Voltage
The voltage of the battery determines how much power is left in the battery. At full charge, the battery will display above 83 volts. At low to no power charge, the battery will display 64 – 67 volts. It is recommended not to make it a habit of waiting for the battery to completely loose power before charging. You should charge your battery when it’s below 67 volts in regular circumstances. Discretion advised. This allows the battery to stay healthy.
Battery Maintenance
Due to the high combustible nature of lithium ion batteries, you should always take good care of your battery pack.
1. If you need to store your battery outside of the scooter, it is advisable to store it in a cool dry place with regular room temperature.
2. Don’t let your battery pack get hit by other objects or hit the ground. This may cause damage to your battery pack. Handle with care during removal and installation.
3. Do not any liquid on your battery pack.
4. Do not heat your battery pack.
5. Do not open up your battery pack to modify it or for any other reason.
6. The best way to keep your battery pack safe is to always keep it in your Will Mason Touring T1 Pro Electric Scooter.
7. Do not submerge your battery pack in any liquid form or water.
8. Our lithium ion battery pack comes with a 6 month warranty, unless it’s been damaged by water, hitting or left in extreme temperature.
Tire Maintenance
Tubeless tires
Tubeless tires are a type of tire that does not require an inner tube to hold air pressure. Instead, the tire itself is designed to seal tightly against the rim, creating an airtight seal. This allows the tire to hold air pressure and function properly without the need for an inner tube.
Tubeless tires are commonly used in various vehicles, including bicycles, motorcycles, and cars, and are becoming increasingly popular in the electric scooter industry due to their durability, puncture resistance, and ability to provide a smoother ride. They also tend to be easier to install and repair compared to traditional tube-type tires.
How often do you need to change a scooter tire?
Normally, the duration and life time of the tires are 1-2 years by an average or 10,000-20,000 kilometers. However, it depends on riding behavior, road conditions on daily basis and type of tires used as well. If you want to make sure that the tire usage is extended.
Importance of regular tire maintenance
Regular tire maintenance is critical in ensuring that your electric scooter is safe to ride and performs optimally. Neglecting tire maintenance can lead to numerous problems, including reduced grip, decreased range, increased rolling resistance, and even accidents.
Reduced grip
The tires' grip is essential for maintaining control of the electric scooter, especially in wet or slippery conditions. Neglecting tire maintenance can cause the tires to wear out unevenly, reducing their grip and making it harder to control the scooter. Reduced grip can also increase the stopping distance, making it more challenging to brake in emergencies.
Decreased range
The condition of the tires can also affect the electric scooter's range. Under-inflated tires can increase the rolling resistance, making the motor work harder and draining the battery faster. This can decrease the range of the electric scooter and require more frequent charging.
Increased rolling resistance
Rolling resistance is the force required to keep the tires rolling on the road's surface. Tires that are not properly maintained, such as under-inflated tires or tires with worn-out tread, can increase the rolling resistance, making it more challenging to ride the electric scooter. This can result in reduced speed and decreased range.
Accidents
Perhaps the most critical reason to maintain the tires regularly is to prevent accidents. Worn-out or damaged tires can lead to blowouts or flats, causing the rider to lose control of the electric scooter and potentially resulting in an accident. Proper tire maintenance can help prevent these types of incidents and ensure the rider's safety.
Bad braking
Neglecting electric scooter tire maintenance can also spell trouble for your electric scooter brakes. The state of your tires impacts the amount of grip your scooter has on the road, and when that's compromised, stopping safely becomes an issue. If your tires are worn out or underinflated, they might not be able to provide enough traction to bring your scooter to a stop quickly. This, in turn, increases stopping distances, making it harder to avoid accidents.
But that's not all. Tires that are damaged or worn-out can cause your scooter to shake and vibrate, and affect the brake system's performance. When you hit the brakes, the stop may not be as smooth as it should be, leading to an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous ride.
5 Tips for Tire maintenance
Maximum Payload of the T1 Pro is 440 lbs.
By understanding the importance of regular tire maintenance and the potential consequences of neglecting it, you can take proactive steps to keep your electric scooter in top condition and avoid any issues on the road.
1. Check tire pressure regularly - Tire pressure for the front tire is 30 psi and the rear tire is 30 psi
Underinflated tires can lead to decreased grip, increased rolling resistance, decreased range, and even tire damage. On the other hand, overinflated tires can result in poor shock absorption and a bumpy ride.
2. Inspect tires for damage
Electric scooter tires are prone to wear and tear, especially if you frequently ride on rough or uneven terrain, or encounter sharp objects. Regular inspections can help you identify any cuts, punctures, bulges, or other forms of damage before they become a more significant problem.
3. Rotate tires regularly
Rotating your electric scooter tires means swapping the front and rear tires to ensure even wear and prolong their lifespan. This is an excellent way to reduce uneven tire wear caused by things such as weight distribution, road surface conditions, and braking habits. By rotating the tires, you can help distribute the wear and tear more evenly across all tires, prolonging their life span and negating the need for frequent replacements.
We recommend you rotate your front and rear tires every few hundred miles or so as this will help your tires wear evenly, reducing the likelihood of having to replace them prematurely.
4. Avoid overloading your Electric Scooter
Overloading your electric scooter can be detrimental to your tires, as it can cause excessive pressure that leads to premature wear and tear.
5. Store your scooter properly
You should store your scooter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat. You should also try not to leave your scooter unused for extended periods, as this can cause flat spots on the tires.
IP Rating
IP rating of the touring T1 Pro is IP65
This means the scooter can be washed with a water hose, it can be left in the rain but it cannot be submerged in water.
